I did not find this workshop, it found me and I’m glad it did. I registered for the Pussy Pleasure + Trauma: Roots. Wounds. Words workshop on a Sunday and spent the next four days leading up to it trying to talk myself out of attending the workshop. I’m so glad that I followed through on my gut instinct to sign up. I wanted to seize this serendipitous opportunity to creatively work through sexual trauma I experienced as a child. Initially, I was terrified, but Nicole had such a presence and was so attentive, that I immediately felt safe! I felt loved, I felt seen, I felt heard and I learned so much from every woman that I was in community with that night. This was a revelatory experience that I will carry with me for life. I am eternally grateful.

I've taken a number of RWW workshops. I learn something new about myself each time. The prompts aren't the typical writers workshop jumpstarts. It's the first and only writers workshop that considers race, gender, class, history and culture. Each time I've come away with a peice of writing or several threads I can later expand into a poem, prose or essay.

I loved the intimacy of the class, which was amplified by Nicole splitting us up into smaller break out groups. Your format for the pitch letter was simplified and broken down into specific sections that were easy to digest and imitate!

The information received in this workshop is valuable and spot on. There is not a lot of information available regarding pitches, you simply know you have to submit a pitch, but have no clue of how to do it. This workshop teaches you the how and why. I highly recommend.
